Yes, and they still saying only one claim outstanding? Kylie @ her family came out of no where - as Kylie put it, we don’t count, we’re not even a number to them.
And there r others …
So they still can’t get it right.
It was clear having watched the livestream, starting with the deputy mayor down that they had no intention of ever letting an investigation happen. Shame on them …
There were 3 women around the table (excluding the chair) who were also shameful.
And quodos to the 3 : Rose, Williamson & Thaler. They tried their absolute best.
The rest of them had no intention of letting any of it progress.
I call on Deputy Mayor Hopkins to offer an unreserved apology to the victims who have yet to be compensated for the water tank collapse, immediately. A failure to do so, in my view, would be to bring the SMRC into disrepute.
To even suggest that people (which people) are looking forward to moving on & getting on with their lives, raises serious concerns regarding the concept that discrimination within the Snowy Monaro is alive and well.
There appears to be a clear case of deny, deter and deflect regarding the real issues surrounding the water tank collapse which is still ongoing after five years.
This is not about "moving on", this is about standard management practice and risk control, examining a very serious incident, which may have occurred death (of multiple people).
There is no higher safety issue than a risk causing death/harm. Where is the duty of care and avoidance of risk of harm?
What mental, emotional, physical, and financial harm have people had to endure for over five years without resolution, by the incompetence of SMRC.
Oh that's right, people want to "move on" - what a joke.
I watched you - you spoke well & to the point. They still did not want to get it.
And yes, for the deputy to say on camera these people just want to get on with their lives : I’m sorry that’s not the sense of her attitude in the meeting …
Kylie - as she pointed out, we’re not even a number …
And yes, an unreserved apology is well in order. By all of them - I believe the 3 independents have already apologised & working hard to bring this evil to an end
Many are starting to see & understand their actions now, or lack of them. To see the responses at that meeting, to see their disgusting behaviour - you are so right. All need to hang their heads in shame starting at the top …
So eloquently put Chris !

Thank you for your kind words.
Justice denied to victims of this avoidable disaster, by our elected "gang" of Councillor's, is in my view, reprehensible.
The collective "gang" who voted against transparency, accountability, but for denial and deflection, should hang their heads in shame.
I meant it !
And Exactly !
Many are starting to see & understand their actions now, or lack of them. To see the responses at that meeting, to see their disgusting behaviour - you are so right. All need to hang their heads in shame starting at the top …
Yeah, but nobody died!
That reminds me of another attempted cover up? "She had a knife"!
